The Paradiso Gallery's 'Our Green World' exhibition in Bovey Tracey features a wonderful variety of landscape artwork celebrating the beauty and fragility of our natural world. From the twisted ancient Dartmoor oak trees in Jon Arnold's stunning photography, to the vast expanses of colour and light in Lin Cudlipp's expressive paintings, this exhibition shows a collective appreciation for the green spaces in our lives.
I am very excited to exhibit two of my mixed media pieces 'The Secret Meadow' and 'Butterfly Meadow' at this exhibition which were both inspired by walking through Pullabrook Woods near Bovey Tracey.
During this walk I came across a small secluded meadow surrounded by trees. It was an oasis for butterflies with its huge variety of wild flowers and plants. In the middle of this field was a small clearing where a wooden bench was perfectly placed for sitting quietly and butterfly spotting. The small, shallow river which flowed nearby was the perfect shady playground for my son.
'Our Green World' runs from Thursday 29th September until Saturday 29th October, 2022 at the Paradiso Gallery in Bovey Tracey, Devon. https://www.paradiso.org.uk/
